Rasulpur, Sept 3 [UDN}: The Youth Bharat Farmers’ Association has nominated presidents for various panchayats under its Rasulpur block unit. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of block president Batakrishna Sahu on the occasion.
The meeting discussed the severe impact of the recent floods on farmers. Members stressed the need to ensure justice for affected farmers, bring crop and property losses to the government’s attention, monitor whether genuine farmers are benefiting based on departmental reports, and inform concerned officials about farmers’ problems so that government assistance can reach them smoothly.
To strengthen the association’s activities at the grassroots level, presidents were also appointed for different panchayats and assigned responsibilities.
According to block president Sahu, the newly nominated panchayat presidents are Ganeshwar Rout (Barabati), Suresh Nayak (Nathuar), Suryamani Mohanty (Prathamakhshi), Chandramani Pradhan (Singhapur), Gobinda Satapathy (Rasulpur), Narayan Sahu (Jabara), Paramananda Sahu (Narsinghpur), Bharat Nayak (Mugdhapadhi), Pramod Samal (Sribantapur), Rajib Biswal (Pahanga), Ananta Nayak (Karan), Biswanath Mahapatra (Samantarapur), Niranjan Malik (Abalapur), Maheswar Das (Mangrajpur), and Ananta Ghadei (Arthagaon).
