Bhubaneswar, Sept 3 [UDN}:The first Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage Scheme (BNTYY) for the financial year 2026–27 has been formally launched. The pilgrimage journey commenced in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Members of the Legislative Assembly, along with the District Collector and District Magistrate, as senior citizen pilgrims were flagged off for their spiritual journey.
Through this pilgrimage programme, senior citizens will receive a valuable opportunity to visit important religious and spiritual destinations and experience the rich cultural and spiritual heritage associated with these sacred places. The initiative aims to provide elderly citizens with an opportunity to undertake pilgrimages comfortably and conveniently, enabling them to fulfil their long-cherished desire of visiting places of religious and spiritual significance.
Warm wishes have been extended to all the pilgrims for a safe, comfortable, pleasant, and memorable journey. It is hoped that the pilgrimage will not only provide them with an opportunity to visit sacred destinations but will also enrich their lives with spiritual experiences, peace of mind, happiness, and a sense of fulfilment.
The launch of the Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage Scheme for the financial year 2026–27 marks an important initiative towards facilitating meaningful religious and spiritual journeys for elderly citizens.
