Government Dental Doctors in Odisha to Receive Rs 20,000 Monthly Incentive Under New Initiative to Boost Public Healthcare Services

Bhubaneswar, Sept 3 [UDN}:: The Odisha Government’s Health and Family Welfare Department has announced a major incentive for dentists working under the Odisha Medical Services (Dental) Cadre.

As per the new decision, dental doctors who have obtained postgraduate qualifications from NMC-recognised medical colleges and are working under the Health and Family Welfare Department will receive a monthly incentive of ₹20,000.

According to the notification issued by the government, the incentive will be effective from August 29, 2026, the date of issuance of the notification.

Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling said the initiative, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, aims to encourage postgraduate-qualified dental doctors to continue serving in the government sector and strengthen specialist dental healthcare services across Odisha.

The notification was issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department after the proposal received the concurrence of the Finance Department.
