Tamil Nadu ,Sept 2 [UDN}: Tamil Nadu Government Announces Another Major Welfare Initiative
Under the Annapoorani Super Six Scheme, poor families in Tamil Nadu will receive three free LPG cylinders every year from 2027.
Around 1.30 crore families will benefit from the Annapoorani Super Six scheme.
The entire amount paid for purchasing the LPG cylinders will be credited back to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
The scheme is expected to begin before Pongal.
Free Bus Travel for Women
Chief Minister Vijay has also announced free bus travel for women in Tamil Nadu.
Free bus services for women will begin from October 2.
Transgender persons will also receive the benefit of free bus travel.
Overall, the announcements focus on providing free LPG cylinders and free public transport as major welfare benefits for economically weaker sections and women.
