Belaguntha, June 27 {UDN}:Father's Day was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm in Belaguntha on Sunday evening. To mark the occasion, the Jai Jagannath Bhajan Mandali organized a devotional music evening and a cultural program at the town's main street, where local artists presented soulful bhajans and musical performances.
The event was conducted under the leadership of young social worker Gangadhar Dakua. Shyam Sundar Panda attended as the chief guest, while Jagannath culture researcher Ramakrishna Pati, noted litterateur Motilal Pati, Purna Chandra Panigrahi, Rabindra Nath Rath, Pabitra Kumar Sahu, Nageswar Patra, Basanna Kumar Sahani, and Prashanu Kumar Sahu graced the occasion as distinguished guests.
During the program, all fathers present and members of the media were felicitated with mementos as a mark of respect. Participants also sought blessings by touching the feet of the fathers and two respected teachers present at the event.
The celebration concluded with vibrant musical performances by local artists, making the occasion a memorable tribute to the role and contribution of fathers in society.
