Aska: June 24 {UDN}: As per the directions of the State Government, a block-level Farmers’ Society programme was organised by the Panchayat Samiti, Aska of Ganjam district at the local Kalyan Mandap.
The programme was presided over by Additional Block Development Officer (ABDO) Sushanta Kumar Behera. Several dignitaries were present, including Sangita Padhi, son of the MLA; Bijaya Swain, Chairman of ATMA; Block Veterinary Officer Dr. Sudhansu Behera; Junior Fisheries Officer Aravind Kumar; Assistant Agriculture Officer Jagadish Choudhury; and CDPO Shanti Patnaik, among others.
During the programme, officials highlighted the various facilities, opportunities, and paddy subsidy schemes provided by the State Government over the past two years. They also spoke about how the “Development Drive” is progressing across Odisha.
At the Kalyan Mandap premises, stalls were set up showcasing agriculture, electricity, Mission Shakti, livelihood missions, health, animal husbandry, and products made by “Lakhpati Didi” groups. These handmade products were displayed and sold at the exhibition. An awareness-cum-exhibition programme was also conducted at the venue.
