Bhubaneswar, Sept 1 [UDN}:In a recent major reshuffle of IPS officers by the Odisha Government, senior IPS officer Himanshu Lal was transferred from the Northern Range in Sambalpur and assigned two important responsibilities related to crime control in Bhubaneswar.
Known for his firm actions, decisive approach and straightforward style, Himanshu Lal has issued a strong warning to criminals soon after assuming his new responsibilities. He made it clear that goondaism, illegal activities, organised crime and financial fraud will not be tolerated either in the state capital or anywhere else in Odisha.
His warning has reportedly created concern among criminal elements. With the senior IPS officer taking charge of key crime-control responsibilities, people are hopeful that organised crime and cyber-financial fraud will face stronger action in the days ahead.
The new assignment is being viewed as a significant step toward strengthening Odisha's efforts to control serious crimes, curb illegal networks and take effective action against cyber and economic offenders.
